Aster & Oak Creative is a family-run, woman-owned, parent-friendly business based out of North Alabama. I love small businesses because I know from years of experience how the people supporting you are what help you grow. Family, friends, and everyone in between. That’s why I love marketing. I get to tell your stories and give you time for the things that really matter. Like hanging out with the people who support you, spending some extra time with your kids, traveling, or trying out your 20th new hobby.

Why Aster & Oak?

Asters are a beautiful flower, known for their vibrant shades of purple. Aster means “star,” and so does my daughter’s middle name. Asters are also the September birth month flower, and that’s when my daughter’s birthday is! She’s my reason for working hard every day, because I want her to grow up knowing she can work hard and do cool things too.

Oak is shortened from two of the South’s iconic plants, the Oakleaf Hydrangea (which I grow in my front yard because I love plants) and the Southern Live Oak, a hardy tree known for its evergreen leaves, two attributes that are crucial to marketing. Having lived in the South my whole life, I wanted my business name to reflect that.

Combined, those two words summarize key parts of my life: my love for my family, and my endurance to never give up on my (seemingly endless) list of projects.
